Are there any age restrictions?You must be aged 18 or over to drive a Jet Ski by yourself. However, anyone over the age of 8 can ride as a passenger. As they are accompanied by an adult, they can also drive the Jet Ski.

How long will my tour last?Each tour lasts 90 minutes. This includes briefing and time to get ready. We guarantee a total of 60-70 minutes on the water.

Where do we go on the Jet Skis?Our Poole location takes you on a tour around the famous world heritage site which is ‘Old Harry Rocks’ on the Jurassic Coast. Your tour sets off from Baiter Park which is positioned just a 20-minute drive from the popular Bournemouth beach – a real hotspot. Bournemouth beach has been ranked amongst the best 25 beaches in the world, according to Tripadvisor’s 2021 Travellers Choice awards. Book today and come and see for yourself.

What should I wear?We provide wetsuits and buoyancy aids on arrival. All you'll need to bring is swimwear and a towel to keep warm. We recommend arriving in swimwear before hand.

Do I need previous jet ski experience?Not at all! In fact, the majority of our customers are first-timers. We offer full training and will provide you with a safety briefing which completely covers how to use the controls and ride a Jet Ski safely. Don't worry, you're in safe hands.

Is there parking on site?Yes - for a small fee we have parking situated a short distance from where we operate from.

How many people can go on a session?At South Coast Jet Ski, we follow the RYA guidelines for hire-ski to instructor ratio, which is 3:1. This means that we are able to accommodate up to six riders per standard session. We do run sessions with larger groups of up to 12 people as we have another fleet of Skis. Please call us to find out more.

Do I need a license or previous experience to hire a Jet Ski?No! You will always be accompanied by a fully qualified PWC instructor when on the tour. You don't need a license or previous Jet Ski experience.

Do I need a reservation?Yes. Due to the high demand, you will need to book your tour in advance. This can be done via the booking page on our website.

Can I bring my phone with me to take pictures?Of course! Each Ski has a shockproof compartment to store your phone. It is requested that you do not attempt to use your phone while operating the Ski, and riders are reminded that bringing personal belongings on the water is done so at their own risk. There will also be a photo opportunity, where the instructor will offer to take pictures on their own device and send them to you should you wish.

Do I need to be able to speak English?Yes. You will need to be able to speak and understand English so you can understand how to ride the Jet Ski safely, conforming to our guidelines.

What is your policy on cancellations and refunds?In the event of bad weather including floods, storms, heavy seas state, strong winds or unforeseen circumstances, South Coast Jet Ski have the right to terminate sessions and will offer another date, voucher or refund. A cancellation made by the client must be notified to us 48 hours prior to the tour and a full refund will be permitted.

Is there a safe place to leave my personal belongings whilst on a tour?Yes, if required your belongings may be left in the our hut. which will remain locked during the session. South Coast Jet Ski are not responsible for any items which may be lost or damaged.

Can the rider and passenger take turns driving?Yes, there will be plenty of opportunities for riders to change positions. The instructor will advise on when, and how to do this.

Is there a maximum weight capacity per ski?Yes, there is a maximum weight capacity of 272kg per Ski.
EXPLORE the STUNNING DORSET coast
Our Poole tour sets off from Baiter Park. You get towed out to the open waters where you will then get to take control of the jet ski. You will pass Brownsea land (the largest island in Poole Harbour and a National Trust Site due to its vast wildlife), Sandbanks, Studland Bay and the famous world heritage site, Old Harry rocks. You will get the opportunity to take photos to make your memories permanent before we loop around and head back to Poole Harbour.
